Mr. Swearingen arranges for the Ohio State University Marching Band and has composed over 700 pieces of music in his career.
He came to work with the High School Band as they prepare for the Classical Concert on April 11th at 7pm in the Worship Center and the ACSI Competition on April 13th at Cedarville University. The High School Band will be playing one of his pieces, an arrangement of the hymn "Be Still, My Soul."
Mr. Swearingen also visited the 7th and 8th Grade Band and answered questions about his life and what it's like being a composer.
