Michelle Johnson, who has previously been a receptionist, preK teacher and substitute at MCS, will be partnering with Alice Brooks in second grade.
Her son, Nathan, graduated in 2017 from Madison and her daughter, Lauren, is in eighth grade.
She and her husband, Ben live in the Canal/Lithopolis area.
Mandy Knowlton and her family just moved to Columbus from Idaho. She has two children, Daisy and Caspian, who will be in preschool and our staff nursery. Her husband Kasey will be working as a carpenter in the Columbus area.
A graduate of South Dakota University, Mandy has been a kindergarten and third grade teacher and an instructional coach in Idaho the past ten years.
She will be joining Liz Crabtree and teaching third grade Bible, reading and language arts.
If you see Mandy around the MCS campus, please greet her with a warm welcome.
Jessica Michael has been a substitute teacher at MCS since moving to Columbus from Turkey with her family.
Her husband, Luke, is the Director of Technology at MCS, and they have children in fifth (Violet), third (Audrey) and preK (James) this year.
Jessica will be teaching fifth and sixth grade reading. The language arts and the fifth/sixth grade team is excited about Jessica joining them for the 2018-2019 school year.
MCS faculty and staff are excited to announce that Sara Kirk will be teaching elementary and secondary PE this coming school year. Additionally, she will be helping in the drama department.
Last year, Sara was a teacher/office aide in the elementary and coached volleyball. She also helped with the junior/senior high school spring musical production, Cinderella.
Sara's sister and brother-in-law, Alissa and Josh Harris, teach in the senior high school.
