5TH GRADE

MIDDLE SCHOOL
Middle School Band will focus on furthering knowledge on an instrument. Continued reinforcement of posture, breathing, hand positions, embouchure and instrument care will be stressed. This course will focus on furthering knowledge on an instrument, and an emphasis is placed on scales, tone quality, and more advanced musical skills.

HIGH SCHOOL
High School Band will continue to build on the musical foundation that was laid in the junior high school. While emphasizing fundamentals of tone, pitch, and rhythm, the band will prepare pieces for concert performances, school events, community involvement and assessment festivals. Music is a gift from God and therefore worthy of pursuing excellence in it. Improvement on an individual basis will be at the core of instruction and evaluation.

- ACSI Music Festival - In 2022, the HS Band received the highest ranking of Superior!
