Eagle Update - March 2022

Madison Christian School March 2022 Newsletter
A Message from the Head of School:
Dear MCS Community,
Thank you to the many families who have completed their 22-23 Re-Enrollment! We are so thankful for your partnership as we continue to be committed to educating the next generation of strong Christian leaders.
Today, Tuesday, March 1 is the final day to guarantee your child's seat and avoid the $150 late enrollment penalty for all students re-enrolling into 1st-12th grade. On March 2, we will begin to move forward with our new student applications to fill available seats.
Our current families are our priority, and we want to offer opportunities for assistance. We have online instructions and are happy to help with any issues you are having. You can contact [email protected] (please put "re-enrollment" in your email subject line), call the Administrative Office at 614-497-3456, or stop by the Administrative Office during school hours of 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.
Thank you for inviting your church pastors and leaders to our upcoming Church Partnership Breakfast! We have over 40 pastors currently signed up and are looking forward to a meaningful time of fellowship together on Friday morning. Registration is still open through today, Tuesday, March 1.
In His service by grace,
Michael P. Egenreider, MS

Student Life
Adopt A Grade: The Upper School Bible classes have adopted an elementary class to meet with once a month when they pray together, do devotional activities, and recite scripture together. This has been a great opportunity for mentorship relationships to happen between the Upper and Lower Schools.
Day of Prayer: Our elementary students kicked off the Day of Prayer with chapel where students were challenged to pray for others, praise God, and see what can happen when we go to the Lord in prayer. There were 4 prayer stations the students were able to participate in this year.
- Prayer for Healing: Students could write the names of people they knew who needed physical healing on bandaids. The students then put the bandaids on a large piece of paper on the wall in the chapel and then cold spend time praying for those people.
- Praises through God's Word: Students were given verses from scripture that were printed out and they could spend time praying the scriptures of praise to God as they placed them on a string.
- Prayers and Confessions: Students were able to write out prayer requests and confessions on sticky notes and place them on a cross. Students then spent time praying for the prayer requests that others had written.
- Praising God: Students were invited to write words of praise on beads. We are stringing those beads together and we will display them in the elementary building as a way to remember to always pray prayers of praise to our Savior.
Mother Goose Day in Kindergarten: Our Kindergarten students recently participated in Mother Goose Day. Throughout the school year, the students have been memorizing 12 different nursery rhymes. They picked their favorites and performed them for their families and other students. This was a great day to present, celebrate, and glorify God with the talents they were given.
