MCS celebrates 21st Annual Senior High Commencement

On Saturday, May 29th, MCS celebrated the Class of 2021 during the 21st Annual Senior High Commencement Ceremony. Surrounded by family, friends, and the MCS Community, 27 graduating seniors were honored for completing the milestone of graduating high school.

 

To start the event, Rev. Paul Barnes, Madison Christian Church Lead Minister, gave the Opening Prayer followed by a Welcome from Head of School Michael Egenreider. The High School Choir performed “Love is a Miracle” by Maverick City Music under the direction of Luann Hodges. 

 

Principal Kim Miller announced the recipients of the Academic and MCS Character Awards:

Valedictorian: Olivia Harris

Salutatorian: Ciara Slater

Faithful Servant Award: Madelyn Allen

Boldness and Faith Award: Cade Seckman

Fruit of the Spirit Award: Olivia Harris

Goldy Wisdom Award: Olivia Harris

State of Ohio Honors Diploma: Selma Adu-Gyamfi, Madelyn Allen, Jason Dyckes, Mitchell Evec, Nathan Eyayaw, Ian Fox, Olivia Harris, Ciara Slater, Callahan Tipton & Ruth Tongor

 

Upper School Math Teacher Mitchell Cruey gave the Commencement Address and encouraged the graduates to trust God when life feels hard.

 

Dean of Students Philip Slonaker and Guidance Counselor Jennifer Ladd read the names and biographies of the graduating seniors while Principal Kim Miller presented them with their diplomas. The Class of 2021 then presented flowers to their families as a thank you for their support in helping them reach this milestone. 

 

Madison Christian Church Youth Pastor Michael Seckman gave a Closing Prayer before the Class of 2021 was officially presented as graduated. Congratulations Class of 2021!
