We are so proud of all our students and staff who worked diligently to be able to present their Christmas concerts to the Madison Christian community in celebration of our Lord Jesus Christ!
The 5th though 8th Grade Concert was held on Thursday, December 2nd.
The Beginning Band performed “Hot Cross Buns,” “London Bridge,” “A Mozart Melody,” “Up on a Housetop,” and “Jingle Bells.” The 6th-8th Grade Honor Band performed “Mary Had A Baby Boy,” while the full 6th-8th Grade Band presented “Ding Dong, Merrily on High (Carol Fantasy)” and “Christmas in the Kitchen” which featured Ben Crabtree, Jack DeBoard, Lillian Foresta, Philip Tadros, Michael Tradros, and Griffin Sprague playing water glasses, pots, and pans.
The 5th Grade Choir’s selections were “Peace I Leave With You” with accompanist Jenna Habegger and “This is How We Know What Love Is” featuring soloists Nati Daniel, Xander Bowers, Sesen Solomon, and Zeke DeBoard and accompanist Ms. Stewart. The 6th-8th Grade Choir performed “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” and “Light of the World” featuring soloists Ruth Daniel, Lexi Wray, Hannah Houston, Sarah Seckman, Lena Lesko, and Jaslyn Lyles. The 7th and 8th Grade Choir presented “Silent Night (With Savior King).”
The Kindergarten through 4th Grade Concert was held on Friday, December 3rd.
The concert opened with the 4th grade students performing “Suo Gan” on their recorders followed by the K-4 students singing several songs and reading scripture verses.
The song selections included “In Christ Alone,” “Light Of The World (Sing Hallelujah)” with solo group Thummim Atiso, Baylie Fluck, Madison Foresta, Kendal Minshall, Lilly Sparks, Micah Wasson, Lucy Young, Nora Carse, Giovanna Difazio, Kaylin Lyles, and Lydia Onabanjo, “Joy To The World (Joyful, Joyful),” “O Come, All Ye Faithful (His Name Shall Be)” with solo group Giuliana DeFranco, Yonile Fasil, Sydney McKenzie, Brooklyn Miller, Hebron Robel, Laura Roddy, Eli Slonaker, Edward Young, Caleb Zweydorff, Azariah Addis, Hayleigh Greenwald, Maria Rucker, and Caden Snyder, and “What A Beautiful Name” with solo group Saron Alemu, Audrianna Franklin, J.B. Grinstaff, Elijah Harris, Mahala Lindsey, Braxton McDole, Evelyn Taber, Dagi Techane, Annabel Chekol, Rylee Page, and Jovie Piper.
Student speakers throughout the evening were Lanakai Baisden, Daniel Chavaque, Orien Dudley, Elena Francies, Eden Kennedy, Mesgana Solomon, Eston Wall, Joseph Bass, David Crabtree, Remington Myers, and Savannah Reyes.
The High School Christmas Concert took place on Friday, December 10th.
The High School Band’s selections were “Sleigh Ride,” “Silent Night,” and a lively “The Thirteen Days of Christmas” featuring trumpet soloist Colby Sprague.
The High School Choir performed “Oh Come All Ye Faithful (His Name Shall Be)," “African Noel (Sing Noel),” and were joined by alumni for “Keep on Following the Star” featuring soloists Scarlett Wagner and Hannah Roddy. Accompanists were Megan Ladd, Zakai Daniel, and Carson Phillips.
