On Monday, August 8th, Madison Christian School employees gathered together for Faculty and Staff Convocation.
The staff began by worshiping with a faculty-led praise team. Head of School Mike Egenreider and Principal Kim Miller introduced new personnel including Leandra Couasnon, a Licensed Independent Social Worker who will be serving the MCS Community.
They also recognized several employees for their years at MCS:
- 15-Year Longevity Award: Elizabeth Crabtree
- 5-Year Longevity Award: Tavis Walker, Sara Sladoje, Rachel Payne, and Jean Gilbert
Director of Spiritual Development Dr. Tim Houston gave an inspiring message about the school's theme and verse for the year: Prudence | Proverbs 14:15: "The simple believes everything, but the prudent gives thought to his steps."
Mr. Egenreider led a Communion meditation as employees took Communion together to consecrate the start of the new school year.
Employees have also been participating in Faculty Orientation and various trainings to prepare for the start of the school year. The MCS faculty and staff have been praying for the students and are excited to welcome them for the first day of school on Wednesday, August 17th!
