Student-athletes participate in Help Build Hope

Several MCS student-athletes and coaches from the MS Soccer, HS Soccer, HS Baseball, and HS Volleyball teams participated in Help Build Hope with Madison Christian Church. The volunteers constructed the walls for two Habitat for Humanity houses in the parking lot.

According to MCC Lead Minister Rev. Paul Barnes, one of the houses went to southeastern Ohio, and the other went to Dawson Springs, Kentucky to be part of a major rebuilding effort from an EF 4 tornado followed by floods.

“It was great to involve these young people in a project that will change the lives of people,” said Rev. Paul Barnes. “These students had a great attitude, worked hard, were a pleasure to be with, and certainly were a credit to Madison Christian School. We think they had a pretty good time doing it.”
