Cross Country

MCYAL (Madison Christian Youth Athletic League) is a program designed to introduce and allow students to be exposed to a variety of sports. Sessions will include instruction, skill building, and some competition. We promote the 3 F’s that are vital to youth athletics: FUN, FELLOWSHIP, and FUNDAMENTALS.

At the completion of the school day, students participating will change in the elementary building and meet in the middle school multi-purpose room. MCS players, staff, and volunteers will walk students to the appropriate outdoor practice area.

Pick-up will be at 4:30 PM at the middle school building (normal 3-8 pick-up line). In order to honor the commitment of our coaches and volunteers, please arrive promptly for pick-up.

We encourage you to send your student to school with a labeled water bottle to use during MCYAL sessions. A water bottle filling station is available in both the middle school and elementary building. Many students are also in need of a snack between school and MCYAL. We encourage healthy snacks to help give them energy for their practice (e.g., grapes, bananas, granola bars, crackers). *Snacks will not be provided by the school for students.

Volunteers are always needed and allow us to offer more spaces for student participation. If you are interested in partnering with us, please email: [email protected]
