Licensed Professional Counselor

Bethany De La Cruz, a Licensed Professional Counselor, is available onsite to provide mental and emotional health education and support. Mrs. De La Cruz is approved by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board as a Licensed Professional Counselor.

She specializes in play, activity, and talk therapies to support K-12 students in individual and group counseling, through emotional self-regulation and stress management. She also provides parent consultation, consultation for faculty and staff on supporting students’ mental and emotional health, and classroom presentations on various mental and emotional health topics from a faith-based perspective.

Licensed Independent Social Worker

Leandra Torres Couasnon, a Licensed Independent Social Worker, is also available onsite. Mrs. Couasnon is approved by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board as a Licensed Independent Social Worker.

She works alongside the Intervention Team to develop a school-wide social, emotional, and behavioral framework that supports students, parents, and teachers with the purpose of leading students towards God. She assists teachers and students in overcoming barriers in the educational environment and coordinates with community resources to meet the needs of MCS families.
