General music instruction begins in preschool and progresses through 4th grade. Instruction focuses on vocal performance and technique. The elementary school students present two major programs throughout the year. The junior and senior high school students perform throughout the community and present fall, Christmas, and two spring concerts. Learning to read music is a bonus to the disciplines of an MCS student. The gift of music is a powerful tool that God has gifted us and a magnificent way for us to be able to worship Him.

This choir is the precursor to the Junior and Senior High Choirs.  Training will focus on sight reading, rhythms, and the identification and matching of pitch.  Additionally, the students perform in a Christmas and spring concert.

MCS has four choirs that allow students the opportunity to use their talent in vocal music and continue their instruction in proper techniques of vocal performance. 7th & 8th grade combined choir, High Choir, Ladies Chamber Choir, and Men’s Chorus.  Each group presents concerts throughout the year showcasing a variety of repertoire including sacred music, standard choral literature, and seasonal music.

In the past few years, the high school choirs have participated in various choral competitions and have received top honors. Students have performed at Capital University, ACSI Music Festivals, and multiple nursing homes.
