Theatre Arts
Madison Christian School’s Theatre Arts Program gives students an exciting array of experiences and training in many facets of the dramatic arts. Students are given many opportunities to cultivate their dramatic talents for God’s glory.
ELEMENTARY PRODUCTION:
Theatre Arts presents a yearly elementary production each fall. Students in 3rd through 5th grade are invited to participate as cast members or as members of the production team.
MS/HS PRODUCTION:
Theatre Arts presents a yearly middle and high school production each spring, alternating between a drama and a musical. Students in 6th through 12th grade are invited to participate as cast members or as members of the production team. At times, younger students may be invited to participate for the chorus or specific roles.
MS DRAMA CLASSES:
Middle School students have the option to take 6th Grade Drama and 7th/8th Grade Drama class during the school day. Students in the Middle School Drama Program will learn theater history, discover how to use theater as ministry, understand different roles in the theater, and explore Shakespeare. They will also develop their acting ability and prepare pieces for Speech Meet by practicing reading scripts, conveying emotion, stage blocking, delivering monologues, performing pantomime, and much more.
